My full name is Lê Ngọc Hùng, but Hùng is enough, here is a pronunciation guide if you are curious.

As you might have guessed, I’m Vietnamese. I majored in Software Engineering for my bachelor’s, worked about two years as a software engineer, and then felt like I wanted to learn more about, well, just anything (literally anything). So I went for a master’s degree to do research in voice privacy. Most of my work concerns voice conversion, text-to-speech and automatic speaker verification for privacy applications.

Right now I’m in the final semester of my master’s degree in Computer and Telecommunication Engineering at Soongsil University and a researcher at the AI Security Research Center in Seoul, South Korea, working on speech privacy.

Research interests: speech synthesis · speaker anonymization · audio language models.
